Abelenda Hnos. has installed this barrier in the so-called "Pasaje de la Democracia" to sectorise and control fire in the event of a fire.
Koneba has supplied a Kortex E textile barrier, which allows to compartmentalise the "Pasaje de la Democracia", which is the name given to the underground tunnel that connects the Legislative Palace with the "José Artigas" annex building.
The installation and commissioning was carried out by the Uruguayan company specialised in the security sector, Abelenda Hermanos SRL.
The Legislative Palace is the seat of the Legislative Power of Uruguay. It houses the General Assembly of Uruguay. The building was constructed between 1908 and 1925 in the city of Montevideo and was inaugurated on 25 August 1925 in commemoration of the centenary of the Declaration of Independence.
